Perinatal Bereavement Training 2024 announcement!

Three Little Birds is excited to announce the relaunch of our Perinatal Bereavement Training Program for Medical Professionals and Advocates!

Originally launched in 2022, our training program has empowered more than 22 perinatal loss advocates and professionals in utilizing education, empathy and empowerment to serve families experiencing miscarriage, stillbirth and infant loss in the Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey region. These individuals support our volunteer Bedside Bereavement Program that we offer at five local hospitals. The original program was developed specifically for Delaware Valley providers and offered five weeks of virtual training and one day of in-person hands on photography demonstration.

As our Bedside Bereavement Program has grown, so have the needs of our organization, families and volunteers. We have spent the last year updating our training program with new content and research and it is now 100% virtual and available to anyone who is interested in supporting perinatal loss. Our self-paced program includes updated content focusing on effective communication, patient perspectives, cultural competency in loss, support in walking the journey and tips and tricks to support memory making, bonding and photography so each family receives the gift of infant remembrance portraiture.

For 2024, we are offering three training sessions! These trainings are now available to anyone seeking to increase their skill set and are ideal for loss parents seeking to support other families at the time of loss and medical professionals including nurses, assistants, physicians and more. Please note, at this time we do not offer professional CEUs for this course. However, your tuition payment serves as a tax-deductible donation to Three Little Birds Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support.
