Wave of Light 2025 at Cooper University Hospital

ree

Every year on October 15th, communities around the world join together for the Wave of Light—an international remembrance event honoring babies gone too soon through miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death, and other losses of pregnancy and infancy. At 7:00 PM in each time zone, families light candles in memory of their children. As the flame is passed across the globe, it creates a continuous wave of light that shines for 24 hours, uniting grieving families everywhere.

This ceremony is a time of reflection, love, and connection. As we gather together, we honor each baby’s life, speak their names, and hold space for both grief and hope. The Wave of Light reminds us that though our babies are no longer physically with us, their light continues to shine—in our hearts, in our families, and in our community.

A warm thank you to everyone who attended, sponsored and volunteered in support of our annual Wave of Light event on October 12th. Dozens of families, loved ones and advocates gathered to remember babies gone too soon, find resources and peer support, personalize a white pumpkin and light a candle as a community in memory as we approach Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness.Day.

We light these candles to remember, to honor, and to show that no family grieves alone.

Thank you to our Event Sponsors!
