Heaven's Baby Angels is a non-profit program of volunteer seamstresses that create one-of-a-kind bereavement outfits and gowns for babies that pass away. They are local to the Philadelphia/South Jersey region but have served hospitals in more than 13 additional states. They provide these gowns at no charge to hospitals and families and bring peace and dignity to parents when they have to say hello and goodbye.
These ladies donated a bag of bereavement outfits and gowns to Three Little Birds for our Bedside Bereavement Program. If you would like to donate your gown, they will accept garments made of heavy white satin or firm material. Seamstresses cannot use gowns with a thin shear slip-like underlay as it causes fraying and difficulties using the machine. From time to time, their gown donations are temporarily on hold. Contact them directly to see if/when they will be accepting gowns again.
Monetary donations can be made to support the purchase of other materials needed such as ribbons, elastic, velcro, thread, flannel and packaging items via their website! They were recently highlighted on 6 ABC. You can view the clip below.
