We are so grateful for the support of the local community!
This includes healthcare systems, medical professionals, volunteer photographers, local business that support physical, emotional and spiritual well being of mothers, fathers/non-birthing parents, grandparents, siblings and other loved ones as they walk the journey of pregnancy and infant loss. Many of these businesses provide complimentary or discounted services to help offset any financial burdens. No one should have to worry about paying for support.
For the holidays this year, we are humbly asking you to invest in our nest
As 2022 approaches, and our nest and footprint grows throughout the region and the community has come to see the value in our services and support, our needs have also grown! We can no longer host events in our homes and borrow spaces. Our families deserve a dedicated space to connect, share and feel supported as they rebuild their lives and “new normal”.
The importance of events that connect families…
The COVID-19 Pandemic only further emphasized the importance and necessity of in-person connection between families walking similar journeys. Three Little Birds doesn't only subscribe to the traditional support group setting and we like to switch it up to find group activities to do that promote physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, provide resources and support, as well as #shatterthestigma of pregnancy and infant loss! Having our own space to facilitate these different events will be paramount for us in the upcoming year!
We are launching our Medical Training Workshop!
At our 2021 Annual Wave of Light, Three Little Birds presented our event sponsor, Jefferson Health with more than $10,000 in perinatal bereavement support, including our groundbreaking Perinatal Bereavement Training Workshop for up to 12 perinatal professionals. This hybrid training program includes one day of hands-on photography and memory making training – all meant to empower, educate and support the medical community that support families through these difficult but sacred moments. Having our own space to provide this training will allow us to expand this training throughout the service area.
We want to share this space with our Community Partners…
This space will allow us to host other local non-profits and care providers with a space to meet, strategize, gather and connect towards our mutual mission of supporting the family building community. Having a space to connect, host events/fundraisers and facilitate our services and programs will only be a positive reinvestment in our mission and the local community. We want a space for all to feel welcome and supported and they can explore the varied support we provide and find healing!
