Spring 2024 in-person support groups and events
If you live in the Philadelphia/Southern New Jersey metro region, have experienced perinatal loss and are seeking support and community, we encourage you to register your email to our distribution list. This will ensure you have access to our support group offerings, upcoming events, free resources, giveaways and more. Our virtual support program is now open to anyone who can join us. Our in-person events are held in the Philadelphia/South Jersey region and are offered throughout the year.
Support Group - Friday Night Meditation with Essential Lightworker, Blackwood, NJ - March 8, 2024 6 PM - Join us for a Friday night meditation to lighten the load of the week and grief. Our sponsor, Bridget Papagno of Essential Lightworker will guide us through a meditation to remove stress, open space for love and healing and help connect us with our babies through intentional healing modalities. Legacy Event - Craft & Heal Support Group - Easter/Spring, Blackwood, NJ - March 18, 2024 6 PM - Come make and take a personalized craft for your baby and socialize with other loss parents seeking connection. These peer-led groups are popular and attended by parents, their loved ones, grandparents and more. Our format includes a seasonal craft, open discussion and snacks. This event has ended.
Community Event - South Jersey Mom & Baby Expo - April 27, 2024, 109 N. Black Horse Pike, Blackwood, NJ - Join us as we support pregnancy/parenting after loss at the South Jersey Mom & Baby Expo sponsored by our friend at Wondertime, LLC. REGISTRATION LINK
Legacy Event - Sea, Sound, and Soul - Sound Healing at the Shore, Ocean City, NJ - April 13, 2024 1 PM -Join us at the shore for this spring healing event! We will focus on honoring our losses and welcoming the birth of new connections with ourselves and our lost babies. Sound Healing is a therapy that combines different healing sounds from crystal bowls, gongs, and other instruments to create a beautiful experience where our mind, body, and spirit are awakened gently and lovingly. Participants simply rest on a mat, relax, and receive the healing -- naps encouraged! The sound healing will be from 1-2 PM, and Collective Vibes will generously host us for discussion and integration of the experience until 3PM. A free light lunch and refreshments will also be served. $10/pp or $15/couple. Space is limited. REGISTRATION LINK
This event is a legacy project sponsored by Paul and Liz Cohen, who lost their four unborn babies Izzy, River, Finn & Grace between 2017-2019. Since getting in touch with Three Little Birds and starting to process their grief, sound healing has become an important part of their healing journey. For Liz and Paul, it has offered a way to care for themselves, to connect with themselves, and to connect with the memory and spirit of their lost kids. As they contemplated a Legacy Project in their kids' honor, they could think of no better way to share their love and appreciation with the baby loss community.
Signature Event - Bereaved Mother's Day Spa Retreat & Butterfly Release - May 5, 2024 10-330 PM, Float Haven Spa, Pitman, NJ - Our annual event focuses on bringing loss moms together to connect, honor our motherhood and find resources and support that support physical, emotional and spiritual healing. Signature event – Bereaved Father's Day Event – (Summer) - Three Little Birds is treating the dads in our nest to a night at the ballpark for a Phillies game. This event is sponsored by our Community Partner, ShopRite and our legacy project, Peanuts for Colin! Previous events included a BBQ/disc golf tournament and a day at a rage room smashing cars! Signature event – Wave of Light (October) - Three Little Birds hosts it's marquee event, the Wave of Light, annually on October 15 - Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day. This event has grown from a dozen families at a public park to a large, catered event since our founding. Most recently, we hosted more than 70 bereaved families and their loved ones to an evening of comfort, connection and remembrance. Date and registration information coming soon.
