Three Little Birds was honored and excited to attend the Walk of Hope this past Sunday in support of RESOLVE and the family building community of Southern New Jersey.
Created by local infertility advocate and parent, Lynn Polin, the Walk of Hope serves to bring the local community together to support the 1 in 8 couples who struggle with traditional family building. Did you know infertility is a disease? It is said that an infertility diagnosis is equally as stressful to being diagnosed with cancer or other terminal illness? Many families do not share their struggles to conceive as there are so many stigmas and taboos surrounding these journeys. Communal fundraisers like the Walk of Hope help educate, support and empower the community and their support systems (families, friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc.) in knowing they are not alone and there is support available for everyone!
Three Little Birds' Bereavement Doulas were on hand to talk to families who have also experienced loss. We also provided support items for purchase and donated all proceeds to the walk! All proceeds and donations received will be provided to RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association and another local non-profit group, Keeping Hope Alive.
RESOLVE’s mission is to increase public education, reduce the stigma and provide resources for those who are family-building. With contributions from the Walk of Hope 2022, RESOLVE will continue to provide needed support, education, and advocacy programs in our local communities.
Keeping Hope Alive, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide couples support while achieving parenthood through In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). With contributions from the Walk of Hope 2022, Keeping Hope Alive will provide a financial grant to a deserving local family going through IVF.
If you are in need of support on your family building journey, you can find support through Lynn's family building coaching program, Kindred-Beginnings.
