Three Little Birds is committed to supporting the bereaved families in our nest when the time comes to continue their family building journey! Finding you are pregnant after loss, whether intended or not, is equal parts exciting and terrifying. Families are often hesitant to acknowledge their pregnancy or share their news in anticipation of another loss. This is normal. We are here to support you.
Thanks to our Community Sponsor, Wondertime, LLC for hosting our first Sneak Peek event for loss mamas in our nest who are pregnant again. This included a 15 minute scan, downloadable 3D/4D images of their baby and a heartbeat recording. Attendees also had the opportunity to book future sessions with Glenda at Wondertime, so they can bring family members along and experience the awe of watching their baby grow and thrive!
Additionally, Three Little Birds spoiled our mamas with our Rainbow Baby Gift Bag which included the book Pregnancy After Loss Support – Love Letters to Moms Pregnant After Loss by Emily Long & Lindsey Henke, a carry bag and blanket, a journal, Mommy and Me Rainbow Baby Bracelet, our rainbow baby memorial seed eggs, our Tweet Dreams Sleep Spray, our Post-partum Tub Tea along with other self-care support items for mom during this stressful and exciting time!
What is a rainbow baby? A rainbow baby is a baby born after a miscarriage, stillborn, or neonatal death. It is called a rainbow baby because it is like a rainbow after a storm: something beautiful after something scary and dark. While Three Little Birds uses this term, we recognize it is not for everyone. We encourage families to define their families in a way that is comfortable to you.
Three Little Birds is working on launching a personalized one-on-one pregnancy after loss support/coaching program for mamas in our nest to support not just them, but their entire family as they welcome their newest family member while honoring the complex feelings and grief that come with pregnancy after loss.
