Bedside Bereavement Program Partners

  • Cooper University Hospital – Camden, NJ - Since 2016, Three Little Birds has supported more than 100 families experiencing stillbirth or infant loss in the NICU through our Bedside Bereavement Program. In 2024, with support from the Horizon Foundation for NJ, we expanded our program at Cooper to provide care for up to 30 families annually. This initiative also includes provider training, updated resources, and ensures Cooper’s compliance with the Autumn Joy Stillbirth Research and Dignity Act. [Read more…]

  • St. Christopher’s Hospital – Philadelphia, PA - In 2024, we launched our volunteer Bedside Bereavement Program at St. Christopher’s Hospital in collaboration with Maria Rosa’s Memories, a legacy project honoring Jacqueline Russo’s niece, stillborn in 2023. This partnership combines our program with the donation of memory-making kits, ensuring NICU families have the tools to create meaningful keepsakes while saying goodbye. [Read more…]

  • Jefferson Hospital – Washington Township, NJ - Since 2017, Three Little Birds has supported more than 45 families at Jefferson Washington Township. Jefferson has partnered with us for multiple Wave of Light events and, in 2021, was gifted a Cuddle Cot and free Perinatal Bereavement Training for providers. To date, we’ve contributed more than $1,200 in bereavement support items and resources for families and staff. [Read more…]

  • Jefferson Hospital – Philadelphia, PA - Since our founding, we have provided bedside support to more than a dozen families at Jefferson Philadelphia. Beginning in 2025, we are collaborating with their bereavement committee to ensure equitable access to remembrance photography, multi-language resources, and provider support books.

  • The Cooperative – Southern New Jersey - Together, Three Little Birds and The Cooperative connect families to resources including financial support, mental health services, and language access. In 2024, this partnership helped train more than 275 NJ providers through the Lost Hopes & Dreams Training Program, alongside the Central NJ Family Health Consortium and the Partnership for Maternal and Family Health of Northern NJ.

  • Philly SOARS Project – Philadelphia Department of Health - As members of the Philly SOARS Steering Committee, we help shape stillbirth research and advocacy in Philadelphia. Community members serve as Lived Experience Experts (LEEs), offering vital insight for maternal and child health initiatives. In 2025, Three Little Birds will provide bereavement training to staff under this grant program. [Read more…]

  • Postpartum Support International – NJ Chapter - To ensure families have access to qualified mental health professionals, we partner with PSI NJ to co-facilitate our virtual support programs. This collaboration connects families with therapists and social workers who bring both professional expertise and lived experience, helping parents navigate postpartum grief and healing.
