New Legacy Event: Our Angel Anthony Cornhole Tournament!
Three Little Birds is excited to announce our newest legacy event, Our Angel Anthony Cornhole Tournament, hosted by the Williams and Latcham families. They held their first annual event at Racks Bar & Grille in Atco, NJ on May 13th.
Anthony James Latcham was stillborn on May 28, 2022 after his mama, Bobbi, suffered pre-eclampsia and short term placenta eruption. She had gone to her doctor two weeks prior and told them she did not feel right and that his kicks had decreased. After an evaluation, they determined her blood pressure was high and ordered a non-stress test, which said everything looked normal. She was told to go home, walk, drink lots of water and try to reduce her salt intake. Regrettably, after the fact, she feels she should have been sent to the hospital instead, but being her first pregnancy, she did not having the knowledge of what pre-eclampsia was or what warning signs to look for.
Two weeks later, she was rushed to the hospital and told there was no heartbeat. She was given two blood transfusions and when her levels became normal again, she gave birth to her son.
She found Three Little Birds Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support through a friend who had also experienced the stillbirth of her son, and is now volunteering her time as a Perinatal Bereavement Doula. After attending a variety of events, they knew they wanted to give back.
The goal of the Our Angel Anthony Cornhole Tournament is to bring awareness to stillbirth and to raise money to support Three Little Bird's mission. "I truly believe when this happens to mothers, fathers and the families the most important thing you can do is keep your baby’s memory alive forever.", says Bobbi.
