In early 2017, Three Little Birds signed a fiscal sponsorship agreement with Federation of Neighborhood Centers (FNC), a 501©3 non-profit organization. Under this fiscal sponsorship agreement, FNC serves as the Board of Directors for Three Little Birds Perinatal & Palliative Care Advocacy & Support Center and manages the financial and administrative end of our organization.
Since our founding in 2015, Three Little Birds has made great strides in creating connections in the community, with families experiencing these types of tragedies and to the medical providers who are crucial to providing the care to our families. However, in an effort to continue to grow the mission, services and programs of Three Little Birds, we are now developing an Advisory Board. It will be comprised of organization founders, medical professionals, families we've served, as well as members of the community who are seeking to help families through the loss of a pregnancy or infant.
The goal of the Advisory Board is to gather the experiences, professional knowledge and insight of various individuals and use their input to develop our services and programs. Three Little Birds provides all of its services at no cost to families in the Philadelphia & Southern New Jersey Metro region, and we want to ensure that each program is going to help every family we come into contact with. We have recently solicited applications from particular individuals who have already made an effort to volunteer and/or develop specific services/programs that are directly benefitting the families we serve. Our hope is to have them collaborate with our mission and together, we can help so many more families!
We are also opening up applications to anyone who may be interested in joining the organization in a more vested level. You do not have to be a bereaved parent or medical professional in order to apply. We are seeking volunteers to join our nest who have big hearts and a desire to serve, and are self-motivated, team players. Three Little Birds will appoint up to four community volunteers who apply for this position in 2018.
Three Little Birds Advisory Board members will be required to attend quarterly meetings (dates and locations, to be determined) in addition to promoting the fundraisers and events of the organization. This appointment will be for a one-year term with the option of the organization extending the appointment to an additional year if the volunteer is also in agreement.
To apply, please complete the following survey. Applications are due no later than December 15, 2017. We look forward to connecting with all of you!
