Three Little Birds is creating a nest for families suffering from the unimaginable loss of a pregnancy or baby. The services and programs developed by Three Little Birds are based on the personal experience of founders, Brent & Kristen Samuelson. In their healing journey, they were appalled by the lack of resources provided to them by their hospital and overwhelmed by the amount of support found online and in the local community. After meeting Now I Lay Me Down the Sleep Affiliated Volunteer Photographer, Desiree Miller, the trio founded Three Little Birds Perinatal & Palliative Care Advocacy & Support Center. After two years of research, bedside advocacy, memory making and administrative development, we are ready to expand our nest and involve the generous and supportive local community to assist us in developing events, fundraisers and gatherings for families to meet, connect and heal together.
Just as the African proverb says, “It takes a village to raise a child”. The same is true for a baby who does not live. The family unknowingly needs a village to help them guide the weeks, months and anniversaries that follow after they leave the hospital empty armed and broken hearted. Many people, not knowing how to approach or comfort the family tell them…”If you need anything, please let me know!” “Let us know how we can help!”. But the truth is, life is so incredibly overwhelming, families do not know what they need or even how to ask for it. This leaves everyone feeling helpless and unsure of how to help or what to say.
Three Little Birds is developing comprehensive services to not only assist families bedside, but to educate medical staff of how they can effectively communicate with staff and empower themselves in caring for families through these difficult decisions and memories. We are just one small group of many doing similar work, but what makes Three Little Birds different is we provide full support immediately and long term. While we are focused on the Delaware Valley region, our outreach is growing. We are dedicated to remaining a community based volunteer support for families and thrive with our community connections, sponsorships and partnerships! We invite you to explore the sponsorship and volunteer opportunities available to you this year!.
In 2018, Three Little Birds is planning to host two major fundraisers, one family night and one appreciation gathering.. The financial support gained from these sponsorships will help facilitate the event and the remainder will go towards the specific program or service we are looking to develop. Since this is our first year planning major fundraising events, we are working to establish long-term sponsorships and connections that will carry us into the future and establish annual events. Below we have provided summaries of the events we are looking to host and how you may be able to help. Our event sponsorship package offers several mutual benefits in promotion, advertising in addition to tax incentives.
Pregnancy and Infant loss effects 1 in every 4 families!!! Our outreach and services can help more families with your help #shatterthestigma of these tragedies socially in our community and globally. Families will see your company’s name and logo throughout our events and know they are supported by the local businesses and service providers in their own community! Additionally, it will provide your business with an opportunity to give back to an underserved community that needs support.
Please consider partnering with us as an Event Sponsor or as a Program Sponsor. Details of the opportunities available to you, along with suggestions on how you can also fundraise internally within your business are provided in our Sponsorship Package! We are also open to all fundraising ideas and opportunities you may have as well! We have also provided a listing of fundraisers help by our volunteers as well! Please contact us for an official Community Sponsorship Package to get started!
Three Little Birds Perinatal is honored to be named the “Charity of the Month” by Franks & Beans Events, a woman-owned event planning and marketing company founded by Tobi Schwartz-Cassell, in memory of her parents, Frank & Bea Schwartz. Through her generosity, she will also be a Community Sponsor for Three Little Birds in the upcoming year!
Each month, Tobi selects an organization to benefit from a fundraiser/raffle at one of her “Girls Night Out Events”. This month’s Signature Psychic Dinner with Psychic Medium Judy Dingler, will be hosted at Illiano Cucina in Medford, NJ this coming Wednesday, December 6, 2017.
As a Psychic, Judy Dingler helps bring clarity and healing to her clients’ lives, whether it’s related to health, relationships, career, finance or something else. As a Medium, Judy brings in the spirits of our loved ones who’ve passed on—friends, family members and beloved pets—in a “gallery reading” format, meaning that she will do as many readings as time will allow.
The ticket price includes a five-course abundant, fresh and authentic BYOB Italian Dinner, Judy’s Highly Accurate Gallery Reading, vendors, door prizes and gratuity.
There are only four tickets left and this event sells out every month!!! CLICK HERE TO CLAIM THE LAST FEW SPOTS!
A very special thank you to Tobi Schwartz-Cassell! Franks & Beans Events produces monthly BYOB Girls’ Nights Out at South Jersey restaurants and other locations. They encourage local women to come and have fun with their BFFs or to meet their new one (it has happened a number of times!). Tobi did a survey and found out that most of her guests come with their friends. They do so because it’s easier than having to find a date on the calendar and a place that everyone can agree on, and be assured that they’re going to have a really fun time. By taking care of all the planning, setting up and cleaning up, guests get to walk in and have a great time, then walk out and go home, many times with a door prize in their hands!
Also, a very special thank you to Judy Dingler (Owner of Seeking Serenity and Raised at the Haven) our newest Community Sponsor! Judy will be working with us in the upcoming year to provide her healing services to the families we serve. She is also a vocal advocate of our organization and has supported Three Little Birds since its inception.
Thank you to all the amazing women who help us build our nest with such warm and supportive love. Our families are so grateful to you and your support!!
